The UO:KR client came out in 2007. It was loaded with bugs and performance issues that caused a large number of players to steer clear of using it. A number of patches were released such that by mid-Feb 2008 the client was in pretty good shape and offered a bunch of useful features to players. The Syndicate® created a series articles that were used internally in their guild to help educate our members on the new client and the options they might find useful. Those articles have been compiled into a single guide that we have made available on our website to all players. You can find a copy of the article HERE...

What an exciting time for UOGuide. The first month of this new year has been a flurry of activity, adding well over 1,000 new pages to the site. Due to in large part by the merger of UOStuff, UOGuide now has well over 3,000 web pages of UO information. Not only did the amount of content explode, but the merger was also fully completed in January.
The Main Page has a brand new look, adding three new features. Two of them are ideas taken from the old UO website. The first is Featured Establishments. Players of houses which serve a public function can submit their building for featuring. It is rotated on a weekly basis and is a great way to advertise a location. To submit an establishment click here. The second feature is the Skill of the Week. Each week one skill will be featured. The third feature is all new, featuring different points of interest in the world of Britannia. This weeks featured location are the Meer Catacombs.
We are also continuing to feature screenshots on the main page. A new method of submission has been setup. Email your screenshots to uoguide@gmail.com. Be sure to include a little caption about what is going on in the picture.
There is so much new content this month it is hard to choose only a few to highlight.
New Player Quests - Almost every skill has a quest in New Haven. These quests are the quickest way to train up to 50.
Slayer Information - All you could ever know about slayer weapons and their types.
Quests - The UOStuff merger has added a wealth of detailed quest information. Search for quest information either by area or by NPC.
Recipes - Almost every recipe has been added with crafting info...
Attention all UO players current and former. A PVP event of epic proportions is in the planning stage. The premise is that as many guilds and players as possible will be joining Factions on the Atlantic shard for a week or two.
If you are interested in participating full event details can be found here. The event is planned for early March at the moment. If you are a returning UO player there will be plenty of assistance to help you get up to speed on the current game as well as training your character. Hope to see you there....

Before you watch the video. UO is not dead. But this is a sad day for it. I have very fond memories of meeting with several of the people in the video. Now they will either no longer be on the UO team or they will be moving to Fairfax Virginia.
Greetings all. UOGuide has been chugging along for the past year quite steadily. Just last week we added our 1,500th page of information. That is a lot of data! There are two new sections I think many people will be interested in.
www.uoguide.com/Doom - With the new artifact changes in the Doom Gauntlet, many people are rushing back for the first time in years. Perhaps some have forgotten which slayer goes with which boss. The Doom section on UOGuide has all the tactics and tips you need.
www.uoguide.com/Rubble - The newest item craze in UO. Players are spending hundreds of millions of gold to acquire this stuff. Find out how much of each item exists and the estimated worth. This section will be updated more in the coming weeks so keep checking back.

After the Town Hall gathering broke up, a few people stuck around to enjoy the games at Dave & Busters while others headed home. I stuck around long enough to bug the DAoC guys for a few minutes, and of course I had to grab one of their posters too lol. Since it was already getting close to 5pm, a few of us decided to head straight down to the after party/anniversary party being held at Mother Egan's Irish Pub down at the "quiet" end of 6th street. Like anywhere in Austin is really quiet when the Longhorn's are playing in town.
We decided to actually let our hair down and stop working for the night to celebrate 10 huge years of UO. From what I was told, no online game as survived that long. So obviously someone is doing something right somewhere. We spent a couple hours chatting about the game and all the memories we had. The Mayor of PaxLair was showing us that there are other ways to kill an animal than just in a game. He was killing Woodchucks most the night, which for those of you don't know tastes like apple cider with a really good kick. I tried one and they don't taste too bad. Deadeye and the Governor of PaxLair made it thier sole mission of the night to try one of every beer in the joint.
About half way through the evening, I went and bought a round of shots for everyone at the table. Of course we were responsible and the designated drivers skipped the shots and poor JoPam was the only one underage. So someone drank up the shots that were for the ones that couldn't drink. We won't mention her name here lol. We raised our glasses and had a toast to Ultima Online and their 10th Anniversary!! Way to go UO!!!!
I left shortly after that. I think I was embarrassing my designated driver for the night lol. From what I was told there were a few people that decided to go down to the noisy end of 6th street and try out a few of the clubs down there to continue the celebration. You could tell who hadn't been there before when they were shocked that they blocked off the entire road and there were over 20,000 people down there. Slow weekend for 6th street LOL.
fter a very late night for everyone on Friday, people were a little slow getting out of bed. Once everyone finally got up we decided to go to IHOP and drive the poor server nuts. Which by the way, we did a really good job at when it came time to split up the check. Of course it took a few minutes for all of us to meet up at the same IHOP in the beginning since we didnt have UOAM to follow the dots of the party members.
After the relaxing breakfast and all the chatter about what we thought would happen at the actual EA Town Hall event, we headed out. Most the players headed back to the hotel to pass some time. At the same time, the radio team and myself headed over to D&B to start setting up to be able to bring full live video and audio. D&B had a very nice set up for everyone to enjoy the show.
A few people started showing up and started chatting to get to know each other. Maybe planning a few questions to pop on the Developers when they finally would show up. By the time this officially started we had a huge attendance going on. I may have missed a few people and I am sorry, but I tried to make sure to acknowledge everyone that took the time to show up.
Atlantic - Dragonslayer, Sorceror Keven, Tazar, Roryek, Amelia, Joshua, Sparo and Amanda Rekonwith. Baja - Scarsmi and Leira. Chesapeake - Marcus Ludwig, Sebrina, Justic, Zak, XZXtoopuXZX, Luna, Schitzo, Viceroy, Mayor Ga'Kuct and Governor Winfield of PaxLair. Lake Superior - Technostu, Gu'el, Cuachamer, Mystique and Garibold. Legends - Janelle, Deseption and Einstein. Napa Valley - Aes Sedai Origin - Hawk and Sharween.
